Putnam Heritage Assisted Living in Ottawa, Ohio

Dr. Charles David

Founder

Dr. Charles David founded Putnam Heritage Assisted Living Community in 2004. While in graduate school, Dr. David worked at a group home serving the elderly. This experience left a profound impression on him. He dreamed and prayed about one day creating a unique type of facility that would serve and honor seniors with core principles and values rooted in the belief that no segment of one’s life should be any less meaningful than another.

Dr. David’s medical career brought him to Putnam County to practice medicine and he immediately fell in love with the community. Putnam County’s heritage of Faith, Family, and Friendships resonated strongly with Dr. David and he knew this was the place to fulfill his dream. Land was purchased on the east side of State Route 109 (Locust St.) in Ottawa, and his vision became a reality.

Today, Putnam Heritage Assisted Living Community is a place that so many residents proudly and affectionately call home. It’s the community Dr. David dreamed about long ago and has devoted so much of his time, energy, and resources to develop. Putnam Heritage was built upon the sincere love and affection Dr. David has for people of all ages, especially those who have reached the stage of life where friendly and compassionate professional care and assistance is needed or desired.
