  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality.
  • Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during meal service.
  • Assist in menu planning and development of new recipes as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.

Requirements

Experience

  • Previous experience in an assisted living facility, retirement home, or long-term care facility is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
